for some reason this style reminds me of an recent article i read in international artist with alex powers.
his technique is to bring the background to the foreground,...sort of. integrating it more with his subject matter. through
his use of textures, colors and mediums. i think he uses charcoal, gouche and something else. can't remember.
i love the mix you've used in this,...dirt? heh. that's cool. a bit mckean of you as well.
looks like an excellant cover.
